Wilkinsons(Wilko) are reasonably priced for large bag of sunflower hearts - the finchs love them! (they do a nice square holder too which is only suitable for small birds, so the starlings can't pinch them all!)

Thanks webbo and roslyn,
I normally use Wilko's or The Range to buy sunflower hearts in the 2Kg packs, but just lately they are always out of stock. I was thinking of buying them online in bigger packs which should bring the cost down, and a lot of them appear to do free delivery as well. I get quite a few starlings as well, but they are all welcome. My OH calls them the 'Hooligans' when they arrive en-mass!! |

The RSPB sell bird food and they deliver. I use Scats, I buy 50kg sacks of mixed seed £7.49, and 50kg sack of peanuts £18.00. make my own fat balls. both sacks last about 3 monts so very ecconomical, but I guess it is where you live. Most equine feed stores will sell bird feed in large amounts and cheaqper than the high st.
