Blackbird Nest

When chopping down my hedge i found a blackbird nest with 3 eggs in. The blackbird has found the nest again and been sat on it but i'm worried when the blackburn flies out for food the nest is very open and i don't want anything else to grab the eggs. Is there anything i can do to cover it up?

There's not a lot you can do,Blackbirds as a rule do not have a very good sense of where to locate there nest. But in future years it would be better if you cut your hedge in late March early April so as not to disturd any breeding bird at this crucial time of year.
They may breed as early as that. Do any trimming in the autumn is safest.
