Blackthorn (Sloe)

I have noticed that there seems be a shortage of berries on the Blackthorn bush this year. Is this a general trend or just local to me in the South Downs area of Sussex?

I reckon ... there may well be a shortage of all sorts of berries this year, due to rain reducing the numbers of pollinating insects ... plus general decline of bees in particular.

With road tax hikes hitting those with 2001-2006 registered cars, would you consider selling up and buying a pre-2001 model to escape the the tax mans wrath?

The hikes don't really bother me
