Woodcutter license

I've heard you can get a woodcutter license to gather and use fallen deadwood - anyone know how? Thanks

It depends who owns the woodland. Apply to the owner explaining what you want.

we have a woodburning stove and spoke to some council guys as they were chopping up some fallentrees, they told us that if the tree has fallen then anyone can cut it up and take it.. we get loads of wood from local woodland, anywhere around our town that we know is looked after by the council, u dont need a licence, if u want to double check then go visit your council and speak to them x
