New Lexus SC430 commercial

Does anyone know the title and artist of the Sigur Ros/Radiohead/Coldplay-sounding song used in the new Lexus SC430 advert? That's the one with the bloke driving through a silent, empty town until he opens the driver's door and the streets become flooded with people. Pseudopath (Wed 23:40 08/May/02)

eram		(Tue 10:09 14/May/02) Hi, the track is called Open Heart Zoo by a largely unheard-of artist called Martin Grech, who performs with Tim Elsenburg on Guitar, Al Hamer on Drums, Bish on Bass and Pete Miles on Keys and Guitar. The album 'Open Heart Zoo' is due for release n the summer of 2002 on Island Records in the UK and Interscope Records in the US. One US reviewer of the album wrote: "album's like this come along once in a decade and artists like Martin Grech once in a lifetime." The single 'Dali' is due for release on Island Records in the UK on 10th June 2002.

thom_		(Wed 11:32 26/Jun/02) Martin Grech is performing at St Albans today(26.06.02) and Im going to see him! You can find out about the genius at island records.co.uk/ His album is out on the 8th of next month! I'll give a review when I get back. ps anyone else going?

thom_		(Sat 22:41 29/Jun/02) Martin Grech was amasing. The concert was only about 40 mins long but the vocal range of Grech was out of this world and made me forget all about the 3 hour train journey awaiting me. I supose you could compare him to Matt Bellamy of Muse, the same rock style format was there aswell, but the progression of the 19 year old is far past that of the normal trashy pop rock in todays music industry. The horn (venue) wasn't that big and there were only about 30-40 people who went. He was with the same band members as SLYNA wrote above. They performed about 5 songs I think including 'Open Heart Zoo' which he sang an octave higher than on the downloads or adverts. The other song I reckonised was 'Dali' (My personal fav) The guitars were pumped loud for this one and the sound-waves vibrated the compact wooden walls as Grechs improvisation reached a finaly. At the end of the set I was left with a buzzing feeling throughout my body and needing to know more about the talented teenager. I aproached him afterwards and blurted the only words I could think of saying " You were quality" he replyed in a quiet vioce " Thankyou" To find out more about Martin Grech go to Islandrcords.co.uk.
