My only reservation is they won't communicate with your GP if you don't want them to.

Okay in some situations, I suppose, but I can't imagine wanting to use the service.

having been off on mat leave, i am being bombarded by tv adverts for it :)
I can. I have sinusitis that comes and goes . I can manage it so far but if it gets beyond that point then I need an antibiotic. My own GP’s are lovely and have many ways to contact them and will do an over the phone consultation and prescribe for me. If I didn’t have that facility, I’d be happy to use an online service because I know what the problem is, know what will sort it, and won’t ask for antibiotics until I know I need them.

Ta, I'll have a look.

I'm not sure it's a good idea without them having access to accurate background information which the Patient may not always give, but,
if needs must.

I'm surprised overworked doctors can find time to fit this in.

There's a bit about it here (I have no personal experience, though)

I have used pushdoctor recently and highly recommend it. The doctors are very nice and understanding. But if you need to be examined then its not suitable. The first consultaion was £1 and the prescription was £6.50 which is sent immediatley to a chemist of your choice near to where you live and you can pick it up almost straight away, second consultation is £20 + £6.50, you do also have to pay for tablets at the chemist as it is a private prescription but mine worked out a lot cheaper than the £8.40 NHS prescription, but you do have the above charges on top to pay.

Hi bongoboy - are you able to share what your consultation was about?
I spoke to the doctor about my anxiety and feeling panicky
Are you still paying for prescriptions in England? I thought that prescription charges had been scrapped UK wide.
Are you still paying for prescriptions in England?

Well we have to pay for everyone else's, maggie.
No - the cost £8.40.
£8.40 per Item.
I will make sure the Scottish Government are in my prayers tonight.
