This 'wonder kid' has a very bright future or does he?
a nineteen year old from a poor background on a six figure salary ... what could go wrong?
I can't see it being a bad thing. At 19, growing up in a slum the amount he earns could be overwhelming.

I hope he's got good financial advisers though.
I bet he gets plenty of pocket money as well.

No....I don't .

She should be for him to advice, not dominate and that will have an adverse affect in the future.
However, I do think that "head bowed" conversation is a good thing to instigate a degree of respect which i feel is lacking in young people today....as well as some adults.

I notice that there is no husband present, the details of which elude me, but perhaps it might have been that she tried to "dominate" him.

I'm not sure about the father's role either.
At 19 he is an adult and should be taking responsibility for his life.
I would agree in principle that a young man needs some strong guidance when catapulted into the onerous world of professional sport, and I hope everything works out for him.
