Dear All
My Father is 86 and has Travel Insurance but they do not cover a new Pacemaker that he has had fitted .. due to Mechanics of heart and not heart disease
Can anyone recommend a good site to buy cover for a 3-4 week stay in the USA as he doesn't need cover for the whole year
Thanks in advance

Marks and Spencer are quite good for heart related insurance.....My insurance quote came down from well over £3000 from one insurer to about £150 from them.

Thank you for the feedback I will check these out
Whatever insurance you get, make sure the cover is at least $1,000,000,medical cover/surgery in the USA is astronomical.
Good Luck,I hope your Father has a great time.
Any cover for the USA for a senior citizen is going to be extremely expensive (with or without heart problems).

However this specialist broker is recommended on the websites of several leading charities (serving people with disabilities or medical condition) and has helped quite a few AB members, so it might be worth a phone call to see what they can offer:

Boots Travel Insurance also doesn't have an upper age limit and can cover people with pre-existing conditions:

(A phone call, rather than trying to get an online quote, would probably be best)
