Is there a best/worst insurer for a single trip for a person of 82 years with existing medical condition?
Any help really appreciated.

Make certain you find out who the underwriter is for any insurance you are considering buying. If AXA is involved then, unless such insurance is absolutely the only choice available, my advice is to steer clear of that option. The reason is that AXA have a bad reputation for devising and using means to query, delay and refuse claims - if you get involved with...

Not an area where I have any knowledge, but friend mentioned the Post office a few years ago so they may be worth a try. If you are only going as far as Europe there is EHIC plus which works as top up to the free treatment.
Try "Staysure".
I went to All Clear and they recommended OK to Travel a new company that specialise in pre existing.
