There is a new and very irritating Citroen advert - no music. I recognize the actor from a soap - perhaps - but cannot put a name to him. Could anyone please help?

Hello everybody! I own the Fawlty Towers site mentioned above and the actor (Ken Campbell) played the character called Roger in The Anniversary episode of Fawlty Towers. Roger's wife in that episode was played by well-known actress Una Stubbs. You may (or not) be interested to know that "The Anniversary" is the least popular episode of Fawlty Towers!

Joe, Are you saying that Ken Campbell is the actor in the advert? If you are then I thank both of you for taking the time and trouble to solve this mystery.

it is Ken Campbell - a fine stage actor and a fine man, by all accounts. You might also remember him from 'In Sickness And In Health'. The woman who had the tough job of selling him a Citroen in earlier ads was stand-up comedian (and another fine person) Jo Enright.
