Would you 'Adam & Eve it', I met both Dougie, and his wife, this very morning whilst having breakfast in a motel. They were staying there as they were due to appear in a Christmas pantomime in Beverley, East Yorkshire.

They initially spoke about their careers in acting and I asked whether they had been involved in any television work. Well, blow me, the lady then pointed to her husband and said that he had been in lots. I asked her husband as to what and he replied he'd started off in The Comedians in the early 1970's. A asked him who he was and his reply came back, "Dougie Brown". Have to say they both were very friendly and interesting people. Dougie is a spritely looking 77yr old now. Told us to watch out for the next Aldi advert due out after Christmas - I hadn't realised he'd been in one for Aldi before - here it is:
