Can anyone tell me if there is a Comparison Car Insurance site where they DO NOT ask for any personal details, just the car type and all the rest of the required data BUT not name or E-mail

Put yourself in the Insurance company's place, MR / Mrs ????? phones up & asks for a quote or cover, you have a bad driving record with endorsements, this is why they ask for your details.
You have to give your name and address - how else can they quote.

I have created a spare gmail address which I use solely for internet stuff like these sites - keeps the spam away from my 'real' address.

Hell will freeze over before they get an accurate phone number from me - if they insist then enter 01234 567890 - it doesn't exist (I did dial it once to check - just in case some poor soul was getting all my spam calls) but is a valid number which will satisfy their robots.
I shop around quite a bit and I dont know of any site like that
Sunny-dave has the right answer here. As long as the address that you give is in your general area, then any quote should be accurate.

The problem might come if you decide to take up one of the quotes.
You can use a made up name. Call yourself Mr F Flintstone for example.
You do not have to give an email. You do have to give a post code as that affects the quote. So just give one a few doors away. As said though if you actually take up the quote it will not be valid as you gave incorrect details.
OK to get an idea of the cost though.
