Did you get chance to ask the shop about how to add links.
You can just type the youtube video URL
I'll type this one

Is this the ad?
There is no music apart from a 2 second jingle which was probably written for the ad.

Was my link the correct ad then, desktop? It would help to know whether we are all taking about the same tune.

my husband thinks its the main tune is there a soundtrack cd
I can't even try to help unless you tell me whether my link is indeed the correct ad containing the tune you were asking about.

it is the right programme
Michael Bentine's Potty Time Theme Song
http://www.television...tines_Potty_Time.html

I can't understand how nobody else has found this. I found it in about 7 mins via Google, the answer is in the comments of a YouTube of the ad. 4 months ago by 'Younglion67'. This led to

Genevieve - The musical score was composed and performed by Larry Adler.
So I think that the Michael Bentine's Potty Time Theme Song is one of his as well.

Well done, sometimesit, if it's the one, and you can now find the answer to all the other ones like the cricket theme for desktop.

But desktop hasn't confirmed it's the right ad yet so I hope it's not a false dawn
factor - looks like you can leave all the searching for answers to desktop's questions to sometimesit from now on since he finds it so easy
I'm only pulling sometiseit's leg.

I suppose desktop had confirmed it was the one as she did say last night it was the programme. I thought she meant Genevieve but she must have meant it was the right ad.

I think we've all been on so many wild goose chases (e.g. the men playing football turned out to be cricket or classical tunes that turned out to be pop) and worked off a snippet of info (the music played at some point during a 60 minute programme) that people have been reluctant to spend time doing all the spadework any longer. We've tried to encouraged desktop to provide as much info as possible and provide a link to the ad/programme. She's nearly there now with links so we have made progress.
That's the trouble it's not easy.
I knew that I had heard the music before but could not place it. The ad originally can out in May, I looked but did not find it.
Yesterday when I tried from the YouTube factor30 posted. I found out more by Google search that lead to the credits so I looked in YouTube and the first of many similar ads had the answer in the comments. I was amazed how easy and quick it was. I bet the others aren't :)
Yep, that's how I usually find the answer. On the youtube clip discussion bit someone usually asks what the song is. The trouble is we often don't know which ad we are talking about.
Oh, and do you also know which CD it's on?
I don't think it is on a CD but I haven't looked too deep. The problem is that a lot of these old TV Theme tunes were released on LP but probably not on CD. There are some of the shows on DVD
There is a download option on my other link.

You can see all their site's here:-

Hopefully you'll get an acknowledgement and Best Answer award from desktop. Downloading doesn't seem to be an option- it'd need to be a cD
