According to his website Wynne Evans has been doing to go compare ads since 2009 so that may be a good place to start your search.
Wasn't it the one in the coffee shop where one bloke asks how much they were paying him and the other says he's only a tenner?
That is the first one I remember lankeela.
that was it they are showing it at the moment so I expect some of the other older ones will make a return visit hopefully before he disappears up his own bottom in a puss of smoke
I agree with Lankeela and there showing it again now.
Googled it and found this on Wikipedia: Recently, the first recorded GoCompare ad featuring Gio Compario (in the coffee shop) is being played again on British television, over two years since it's first broadcast.

Scroll down to the bit about adverts. It says the coffee shop one was first and they are replaying it.

I pretended not to notice, crafty lol.
That's one of my problems tony...............no subtlety.
Well, I had noticed that crafty lol.
The one set in the coffee shop (filmed on Baker Street) that is being re-run at the moment, was the first Co Compare advert featuring the fictional singer Gio Compario.
"I throught the BMW and when the women says ' great sound system' was the first advert?"

'New Motor' was the second in the series, followed by:
'Bills'
'Finishing School'
'Business Lunch'
etc.
