classical song?????

Basically I had a classical ringtone on a mobile about 11 years ago. I loved it and have never been able to find the name of the song. However I have just heard playing on the tv (bridalplasty) at the wedding!! I now know (via my casio keyboard) that the first few notes are d g b (four times) then e a c (four times). Please does anyone know the name of this beautiful classical tune!! (this question is also in Music Topic) lol will be surprised if I finally get to know the answer only been trying for the last 2 year!! thanks julie

Is it this?
Echokilo, I asked Ilovemarkb if it was Ave Maria, last night. But they seem to have disappeared, so we might never find out.
I think it must be Ave Maria. This blog page mentions that piece of music being played at the wedding:

Apologies Notafish - hadn't seen your post ....... I hope we find out!! Its driving me crazy!!
Let's assume that it is Ave Maria then, if that's what Aquariel's link says too.
Now we can relax, phew. . . . , but I llovemarkb will never know if they don't come back to this thread.

It most definatley is!!! yes !!! the 2 year search is over xxx
That's good! It was a interesting question to solve.
The notes given by the OP don't fit the pattern. They seem to be in triple time (3/4) whereas Ave Maria is in simple time (4/4).

notafish! you were correct earlier. I didnt even look because I have a version of that sung by a female srtist thats normally played at wedding! THANKYOU X
You're welcome. This is the kind of question I like answerbank for. I was trying to think of the name of a film once but had so little info to go on, but someone eventually came up the the title of the film for me. It was a relief. It's the sort of thing you can't Google.

the version I have of ave maria is sang by Julie Rodgers (the beginning is different to the bach versio Yeyh thanks again guys xx
The Julie Rodgers song is called The Wedding. It is not a classic as it was recorded in 1964. The only connection to Ave Maria is that it contains the line:
"... and I can hear sweet voices singing Ave Maria."
I am assuming that his is what you are thinking about.
