voiceover

I recently watched an ad which featured a background song called "born free" sung by Matt Munroe. However the voice didn't quite sound right (vibrato too quick) which made me think that it was a "soundalike". Could this be right or am I imagining things?

Yes, that could well be the case, the original may have been sang by matt munroe but I'm sure other people have also sang his songs since.
Matt Monro
several people have done covers of this song over the years, it was the theme to the film about the lioness.
Maybe the speed of the song has been changed slightly to fit the advert?

Than you all for your replies.I am still not convinced that this was the original version because of the vibrato speed in his voice but as stoofur says this could have been changed to fit the ad . A brilliant singer!!
