Not possible - they register with different email addresses, probably giving false details.

How would that work? How would the site know who was who?

Nobody can have THAT many emails.
Ethel Tue 02/09/08 12:17
You can only register one username per email address
Gmail, yahoo, hotmail are all freely available in quantity♠
B00 Tue 02/09/08 12:18
Course they can Zak, all ya need is a list of names and passwords blu tacked to side of ya screen and bob's ya uncle.
Well, so they tell me anyway.....Ahem!
daffy654 Tue 02/09/08 12:19
I know of one person who has over 30 email accounts with Hotmail.I myself used to have 5 but only ever used my main one so got rid of the others.
A lot of people will have an ISP email account as well as one or more free ones, such as Hotmail or Yahoo.

I wonder if they add little notes to those usernames? Like particular quirks that user assumes to make them more believable? It's quite fascinating really!
daffy654 Tue 02/09/08 12:21
I would have thought a little black book would be less conspicuous for that B00 and 4get :-)
4getmenot Tue 02/09/08 12:22
quite easy say I could have 4getmenot@hotmail then 4getmenot1@hotmail 4getmenot2@hotmail and the same password as the username
