¨With all the rain over the past few days is the British Summer over?¨

Just how 'banal' can the question get .....

What has RAIN got to do with BRITISH SUMMER which is a set (in law*) Time Period - for 2008 Began on 30th March Ends on 26th October!

* Since 1981 EC Directives have prescribed the start and end dates of summer time in all Member States.

If you want Abers to crystal gaze and 'guess' whether the sun will shine again .... then ask such a question in English!!

I hope not!

We've booked a surprise family holiday for 2 weeks in Osmington Mills (nr Weymouth) from 19 July! Although the grandchildren have no idea yet, so it can easily be cancelled if the weather forecast says it's going to be as bad as it is today - constant rain!

Good for the plants though!
