This recent addition is a real nuisance - when it first occurred I though I had picked up a virus!

Yes, it's a total pain but it's helping to pay for the site and it can be got rid of quite easily.

I haven't seen it for a couple of days now and it disappeared without me having clicked on it at all.

Just a thought. Have you had the same browser window open since the weekend? If you have, then are you are preserving it for posterity?

You can get rid of the balloon race by clicking on the "permanently remove" button on the bottom right hand corner of the screen.

gooness, I've just seen this for the first time; I'm at work, and it doesn't appear on my PC at home. Anyway, I soon chased it away. But it's kind of eyestrain-inducing, isn't it.

Tonight it was back so I have done what Ed suggested, banned it forever (bottom right corner).

I've just banned it too, not only is it total pain it seizes up my PC and I couldn't get on to the site at all - don't think that'll pay for anything. We seem to be getting more and more annoyances its spoiling the site so I can't see any benefit to anybody
