alas, the premium accounts have been put on hold as the free crystal decanters for new members ran out and Cliff Richard withdrew from the AB summer party; so you'll just have to stay in economy like everyone else.

Oh ethel have you not had your invititation to a gold card yet, that's been a long time. I don't use mine very often as some of the hidden categories should stay hidden in my view, but that's only my opinion. I would have thought AB Ed would have let you in by now. Keep hoping!

Seeing as the whole point of AB from the site owners' view is to generate lots lots of viewers to satisfy the advertisers there would be little point in having hidden categories.
However, I can see the sense of having a lockable cupboard for some users.

Ethel, advertising on normal AB would be wasted for many advertisers as it would be seen by too many plebs who'd never buy anything. That's why premium AB is full of advertising for upmarket things like Rolexes and Burberry for an elite audience.

People who can afford those upmarket goods have good taste, and use Firefox with adblocker so they can't see adverts at all.
