Avatar ?

Why cant I get an avatar ? Ive activated the email and tried to enter a new password and user name but every one I enter seems to already be in use which I cant believe as Ive entered some obscure ones so how does this work ?

Have you uploaded an image on Gravatar.com?

Your email address on AB needs to match your email address on Gravatar.com

If it still doesn't work Ed, you must clear your temp files and your chosen gravatar should then show.

Ive now tried about 10 times and cant get past logging in. Ive used the same username and password as Answerbank but still doesnt work saying its already used (which is obvious) but I thought you could use different ones, so Ive tried everywhichway up and still no luck !
If I dont get anywhere soon I think I`ll give up

Did you use the same user name and password for Gravatar as you did with AB?

Yes I did. I had to to receive my e mail and then it said to click on to activate, which I did and then to log in which is where it got difficult

Are you saying that whatever emaila ddress you use on Gravatar, Gravatar are saying the email address is already in use?
If so it seems to me that your problem is with Gravatar problem rather than anything to do with Answerbank.
Once you set up an account with Gravatar (giving you an avatar) you must change your AB email so it's the same.

You need to use the same email address as AB but most of us have found that the password "is already used" so make something else up for the password, that doesn't matter.

Its not the email address. Its the signing up to an gravatar username and password. Ive used that many different ones now trying to get on that Ive probably completely messed it up.
