Thanks for the advice, murraymints and Murdo. It seems that I shall have to wait 14 days from joining before I can change my avatar. I've been a bit too eager!
Although we can see what it's going to be as it appears in the Ed blog question list already. I recognised it immediately as it's been used before. I double checked who it used to be :)
that you bookbinder ???
My thoughts exactly which is why I made a quip to you yesterday halfhound :-)
Halfbound even,sorry.
Question Author
Yes, folks, it's me, bookbinder with another name. A few months ago, I signed out, but now I would like to get back in. I tried to use 'bookbinder' again, but I was not allowed to use that name, so 'halfbound' [a binding style with leather corners and a leather spine] was the nearest that I could get to 'bookbinder'. If Ed reads this, please could I be known as bookbinder again?
welcome home bookie xx
Your Bookbinder account is showing 'User_Inactive'

but there must be a way of reactivating an account because Sqad did it.

Thank you for that kind thought, murraymints. It's good to be among friends. I shall try to persuade Ed to give me back my name of bookbinder again.
Question Author
Thanks very much, Buenchico, for the suggestion. I shall certainly follow it up.
'Halfbound' sounds like the syrup of figs have yet to complete their task to me ;-)
Question Author
Yes, Buenchico, I can appreciate what you are saying! My wife is making jokes about my new name already! I have sent an email to the Ed, asking if I can be known once again as bookbinder, so I am living with fingers crossed at the moment.
At last! I've done it!
Welcome back! :)
Welcome back Bookie.
Thank you, chelle7272, and dannyk13 for your welcome! Living as halfbound didn't seem right, somehow!
Have you turned over a new leaf?
