Just happened again when I clicked on a question, Lasted 10 minutes.
Which browser are you using Danny?
Question Author
Togo, I use Chrome with Firefox as a backup.Freeze affected both.
Hmm I'm assuming it is OK now Danny. I know people were having problems on Sunday, I was one, but my problem was the Edge browser was having problems. I switched to Chrome and all was OK. Edge has been fine since, and I have had no issues with it in 19 months or so since starting to use it. Sometimes a local server can be down resulting in poor log on facility or if Open Reach are doing work which necessitates a local exchange being off line for a while.
I take it that you tried clearing your cachet etc. although this would not usually affect two browsers at the same time. There are a couple of solutions that may be worth saving in the event that it becomes a recurring problem.
Google Chrome
1 Open Google Chrome and go to the menu options which is the three-line icon at the top right corner.
2 Choose Settings from the drop-down list.
3 Select Network and click Change proxy settings.
4 Click the LAN Settings button.
5 Uncheck the box for Use a proxy server for your LAN.
6 Then click OK button to save the changes
Mozilla Firefox
1 Click the Firefox drop-down menu button which is the three-line icon at the top right corner and choose Options.
2 Click the Advanced panel and then click the Network tab.
3 Click Settings button on the Connection section and select No Proxy.
4 Click OK to close the Connection Settings and Options window.
