If I switch to Chrome, which I prefer, I can't use facebook. I think when I set up this laptop I clicked that it was windows XP...but it's windows 7.
Facebook will open but if I click anything I get a blank screen. Do you know how to reverse this? |
|
I hope they fix it soon.
I've switched to IE for the time being but it's naff. |

Try Google Chrome, Evian.

Might seem like a silly question, but are you logged in Umm?

It's a pain really Ummm. My laptop is the biggest pile of crap so I'm always reluctant to keep installing and removing stuff. I can put up with IE for now. Or maybe I should just be getting on with some work istead.

Yes Ed...I'm not that daft :-)
Hold on...I haven't tried in a while. |

EvianBaby - if you prefer Firefox to IE and have a 64bit machine then you could give Waterfox http://waterfoxproject.org/downloads/ a go - that is still based on Firefox 11 (until the new version comes up next week).
There is also Pale Moon which is currently based on Firefox 11 but it uses a separate profile (unless you know the secret to using the FF profile). |

Still the same. When I sign in I can see my page, but if I click on anything I get a blank page.

Thanks Ed for having confirmed that FF12 is at fault.
Perhaps therefore, all that I have said in this thread has been useful. It certainly appears to have assisted L-i-K to revert to FF 11. Ron. |

Waterfox has updated to a version based on FF12 and now has the disappearing question/answer problem.

...I've just posted these 2 replies using FF12 and the problem is still there.
