Is there anything that can be done to restore this site please? I'd like to know the answers to the quizzes I did at Christmas, and to be aware of any new quizzes in the New Year.

How do you mean, restore the site ?- it's not anything to do with Answerbank, is it? (This is Ed's blog topic, for you to ask Ed, which is why I ask.)
Will just have to wait and keep checking I am afraid, most quiz setters do return the answers if you send an sae.

Can someone explain what this is to me please?

If there's a way we can facilitate Q&P users better, then I'd like to know!

its a site where quizzers can find out about new quizzes, the answers to old quizzes, and who won.Its also a valuable asset to find out if there is a fault on a quiz.We haven't been able to access it for a few days now, which is very frustrating, as nobody seems to want to do anything about it, and there are lots of new quizzes arriving after Christmas. The AB Editor says they'd be willing to help Q&P users, which is why I asked the question to see if the AB Editor was in a position to help.If you and boxtops don't think you are the right person to ask, then maybe you can suggest an email address of someone who can please. That would be very helpful thank you.
If the site were working then maybe the Ed could provide a permanent link to it but I think the Ed has probably got enough to do looking after AB without trying to sort out problems on other sites. But I agree it would be useful to see these answers. Maybe AB members who find the answers could post them on here after the closing date
Well, if you wanted it to become a regular thing we could have a section under Q&P called something like "New Quizzes"?

What kind of site was Sitesaver? Was it a forum like The AnswerBank (i.e. community based) or more blog-like?
I've got in touch with a couple of users who used/ran the Sitesaver site. I hope we can help.

poodledoo, I am sure you meant nothing by it but am sure Oddboddy and family are working their very hardest to get the site back up, rather than doing nothing about it.

I miss the site too and will be glad when it returns.

Thank you AB Editor-its nice to know somebody is doing something to help-I wasn't getting at Oddbody either, as I didn't know they were in charge of the site.
Good to hear that, hope all resolved soon.
Looking at this: http://web.archive.or...veronline.co.uk/quiz/

We could certainly accommodate something within The AnswerBank as it seems fairly simple. Whether they'd want to or not is another matter :)
The reason the Fundraising Quizzes site is still down is because we have decided to host it ourselves, we had planned to do this when we launched the new site anyway but we decided with the problems to bring it forward but it is taking a few days to get things sorted to ensure it all runs smoothly once its launched. It will be up and running asap but in the meantimes you will have to bear with us.
I'll take that as a "no thanks" then :)

Best of luck to you in your endeavour!

AB Editor
Can I reassure all our members we have no plans to link up with any other site and will be back on line asap. Poodledoo as mamya pointed out you can get answers by enclosing an sae and most quizzes are advertised on here, but our site runs independently of any other and therefore posts to the editor of this site however well intentioned will not serve any useful purpose. You will have to watch the link we provided our members with to check for updates or email me.
"Posts to the editor of this site however well intentioned will not serve any useful purpose."

I wish everyone would remember that, on all subjects :)

Those just looking for new quizzes can, of course, find them here: http://www.theanswerb.../Question1091866.html

As always please add any you believe are missing. A few of you do great work keeping everyone up to date (Mamyalynne in particular).
Ed - I wasn't altogether sure if that offer was an official post but yes it is a no i'm afraid I am too much against answers being given out to accept but the offer was appreciated.
No problem. I wasn't aware of the site and I thought there might be a lost tribe of quizzers in the wilds of the internet!

Anyway, I look forward to the site relaunch.
Many Thanks.
